When i try to start Live 5 my computer crashes (everything goes VERY slow) and live doens't start. This happens when Live is "creating new live set..." I can't shut it down, can't do enything at all. The only solution is to restart my computer on the restart button.
WHAT TO DO?
I use: WinXP, AMD 1,5Ghz, 256RAM
EDIT: I tried to just wait and see if it would start, but it didn't. I waited two hours (!) and it was still triying to start. At this time it was no longer "creating new live set..", but installing samples or what ever...
This is Live 5.0.3 btw..
and, excuse my english =)
Live 5 crashes on "creating new live set..." HELP!

Hi systembolaget,
firstly you should check if you use a template set. To do this you should locate the preferences older for Live 5.0.3:
"/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/Application Data/Ableton/Live 5.0.3/Preferences"
If there is a file called "Template.als" in this folder rename it to something like "Template_old.als" and check if you can start Live then.
By default Windows makes the "/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/Application Data" folder invisible you you might have to change your settings to see invisible files and folders too.
regards,
/Alex
