Pops and Crackles in Warp mode

I m gettng Pops and Crackles from speakers when samples are in warp mode.
Is it a bug or just me?

i was experiencing the same problem, without even using warp mode on tiny sets...

i've had some improvements by downloading the latest drivers from maudio;s website. still some older, very simple, sets pop and click...but it eventually stopped. and i havent noticed any problems now with new sets.

Hi Filament74,

firstly you should try to find out if these crackles depend on warp mode itself or on something like the CPU usage. So do you get these crackles too when you play only one clip?

Then you should check if these crackles happen for every warp mode.

i cant help but notice, and i think it should be pointed out - that a lot of people use the term "CPU usage" very loosely on this forum ... especially when talking about troubleshooting issues here.

alex i think its only fair to people - espeically new users - to be clear about the fact that the resource meter in Live is a measure of CPU, and not RAM usage.

the crackling / sputtering issue is (as we know) tied pretty closely to RAM as well as CPU, and if someone doesnt realize this they will look at the LIve meter and freak out when they are getting bad performance at "low CPU"

meanwhile thier ram is all gone and the harddisk is thrashing, but they are looking in the wrong place, trying the wrong things and giving back the wrong info to tech support.

(obviously you guys know this program 1000x better than we do, but i think the communication gap might be slowing down the progress toward a fix, thats all .... )
