MIDI launch of recording screwed up

I mentioned this under another thread, and I also emailed it to kleine@ableton.com with no response yet. I thought I'd post it again under its own thread to see if anyone else has this problem.

Since 1.5, I can not use an external MIDI controller to launch recording on a track. When I try, I either get a really long delay, sometimes accompanied by clicks in audio, between pushing the footswitch and Live starting to record, or else the recording starts OK but then stops recording on its own, resulting in a loop much shorter than desired.

I did not have this problem in 1.1, so I don't think its a shortcoming of my computer, and MIDI launch of tracks for playback, as well as MIDI CC control of fx parameters are still rock-solid. This problem only occurs when launching an armed track for recording. I can even launch one track for playback while another track is armed.

I hope I can find a solution for this problem, because it has really put a crimp in the way I want to use Live.

Could you please write me a mail (mueller@ableton.com) ? So we could find a workaround for this bug, till it's fixed.
