Advice please: 5.03 or not?

Post by ian hands » Wed Jan 18, 2006 4:02 pm

Still with 5.02 here and have plenty of workarounds in place to minimise the inevitable crashes. Sounds to me that 5.03 isn't much of an update at all but just a bag of other problems… and still no sampletank fix?

So…5.03 or not?

Thanks

If you have arp problems then maybe. If you work with loops and/or the session view and you expect the clips to all start at the 1 every time you fire them off then I would say NO WAY!!! It is something that really has made this software unusable to me right now. I check daily to see if they have the "fix" posted. Maybe tomorrow...

last I checked the "beat not starting on 1" is supposed to be intentional by ableton. I know I almost laughed and cried at the same time when I read that one. f**ing intentional that it doesn't start on the downbeat??
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

man, if ive said it once ive said it maybe 7 times. I dont believe it was intentional, I believe it was the by-product of them butchering some code to address other problems.
