Finicky Mouse Movements (But it aint my Mouse!)

Post by Isomer » Wed Jan 18, 2006 8:51 pm

Anyone experience this one and/or have a solution? In Live, specifically in the arrangement view, my mouse has been freaking out. I click somewhere and it does nothing--then suddenly it flicks a clip here or pulls a volume node there. Really unpredictable. Often my overall view flicks into super-wide mode and I have to keep zooming in again etc.

Just strange mouse movement bugs. I replaced my old mouse but that still
hasn't solved it. (I have a desktop setup and a laptop. This only seems to happen on my laptop...)

G3 Powerbook

Thanks in advance...

this might seem a bit obvious, but its easy to overlook...

do u have ignore track pad when mouse is present enabled in system prefs?

maybe the trackpad is freaking out, sometimes my G4 PB does that when it gets hot.

Is it an optical mouse?

I have a client who's optical mice go nuts every now and then just because they don't like the surface colour of the desks they're on.

Yeah, it's an optical mouse. It don't believe it to be my mouse pad because the mouse works fine in other applications, just not Live.

I will try to explore the preference settings, never thought those related to my mouse.

Thanks again, I'll let you know what happens...
