Vegas is the easiest to use, and the cool thing about it that i haven't found elsewhere is that it has support for VSTs built in, so you can track an instrument inside the video editing suite without having to import/export to an external audio editing package.

Although it's not a dedicated video editor, there's not much you can't do in Motion 2. Easy to use, and very powerful at the same time. The HUGE advantage is that it renders your project REAL TIME on your video card, and not on your CPU, while you work on it. No waiting for a test render to see what it looks like, tweak, re-render, etc.

If you want a full-featured video editor, FCP. Apple are now integrating everything into a single Studio, and are offering great upgrade prices.

Motion 2 can also be midi controlled, but its not really an editor like FCP.
I use FCP myself and i like i alot.

I vote for Vegas to for ease of use too.
Especially because it is so like Acid and really easy to visualize stuff on the timeline.................as opposed to something heavy like Adobe premiere, which maybe more "pro" but as with most Adobe stuff IMHO is not so inuitive to use. That goes for Macromedia stuff too - (only just getting into video BTW, and I was able to jump right in with Vegas and edit a project super fast and deliver to a behind schedule director.....................)

Slightly off topic but.. Apple have just stopped selling Motion (and for that matter Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Final Cut Pro) as a separate application, which is a right royal arse ache as i was just about to blow 200 quids on a copy...

Anybody know anybody selling a Motion 2 copy?
