No MIDI audio output

I just started using Live Lite 4. I'm doing Tutorial 4 - Creating Patterns.

It tells you to use the Impulse instrument to create a MIDI sound. I'm just using my keyboard to generate the MIDI input. Live recognizes the input with, as the bars on the left side of the instrument go up when I hit a button. But no sound is coming out.

Live says a common problem is that you don't have the octave set to C3 to C4. The only option I have similar to that is C3 to D4.

Sound won't come out through my M-Audio Mobile Pre or through the computer speakers. I've played around wtih different outputs and do have my computer keyboard checked as the input.

hi, i've got the same problem as you, i'm not getting any midi audio output from my sound card, although live is recieving midi input from my keyboard. was just wondering if you were able to solve this problem yet, and if so, how? thanks...
