This is an odd one-
I bought a small midi drum kit, and when I plugged it all in i noticed a few oddities.
When I record a drum track it records fine, but when I click overdub it *occasionally* records one of the hits, but generally doesn't bother.
All the tracks are getting midi input correctly, and while i'm playing you can hear all the triggers, but the overdub is not recording all the hits.
It works fine for all my other gear, and i've tried the drum kit running through my soundcard & also through a USB midi interface (also virtually-routed through my keyboard so the program shouldn't even *know* its coming from the midi drum kit) and the same problem persists.
One thing i considered is that it may have something to do with the very short triggers the kit creates. It seems like the midi "off" signal is sent straight away after the midi "on" signal is sent. This is also a problem when triggering a lot of other instruments(works fine for impulse) - similar type things occur, the midi input is all registered correctly, but the sound doesn't actually trigger except occasionally.
Anyone got any insight into this problem, or does anyone know how to modify the midi signal to delay the "off" midi message for a few miliseconds?
Cheers heaps in advance!
