Access Virus T.I

I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm still unable to record live automation from the hardware unit of the virus T.I with the virus control plug in enabled.
This is because live stops receiving midi data from the unit via USB.
Does anyone know how to make live receive midi data via USB (only) with the virus control in use???

So far I've had no reply from access, any help of any kind would be really appreciated no matter how obvious it may seem.

You have to right click on the VC parameter you want to automate and add it to the automation group first.

Even after I've added the paremeter to the list, I'm still unable to record tweaks in real time with the VC in use.

I'm using other synths that run with normal midi connectors, and I'm so used to recording in filter sweeps etc in real time, that it's really holding my music up.
I'm also unable to find a cc list for the T.I, I have one with all the parameters and their controller numbers for the Virus C, but it's missing a few.
The only way I can automate at the moment is to double click on the midi notes, and draw them in. This is not ideal because it comes up with numbers rather than names, I have to constantly consolidate, and I have to look at it one by one instead of as a whole song.
