Reaktor midi questions

Post by doctorisin » Thu Jan 26, 2006 11:24 am

In Reaktor standalone, or in a host like cubase I can use my arrow keys to change presets, in Live I can't seem to find this function. What am I doing wrong ?
Also, how do I feed midi to a Reaktor effect on an audio track, or for that matter; get midi out from a Reaktor ensemble with a sequencer inside that I know sends midi normaly ? I can't find it in the manual..... Thanks !!!

Set up a midi track, set its output to the audio track, and below set the destination to Reaktor

Set up a midi track, set its input to the correct midi track, and select Reaktor as the source in the drop-down menu below that.

Thanks, man, for these tips, they work flawlessly, and to think I spend houres trying to figure it out by myself.... [blushmode ON]

About the Reaktor presets-thing,
what I meant was: if you go to the top of the ensemble, to where the list of presetnames is, and you click one of the names, after that, all I had to do was keep clicking my up/down/arrow keys to flip through the presets. I know this is sort of possible in the Unfold Device Parameters, but it's kinda tiresome to have to click back and forth between that and the Edit Pluigin Panel. Is there something I'm missing ? Could you help me out again ?
Anyway; thanks again, and btw, I LOVE Soundwrecks !!! 8)

I find that the best way to do this is by sending program changes - either by using midi clips or by sending them directly from a controller. Feels better as well.

on our website we also have a small file, which lets you transmit program change 1-127 just by launching a clip. You could even assign follow actions to have them change automatically ;)

it's in the download section.
