If vinyl slows down or speeds up slightly then that would be pretty crap for djing with wouldnt it, and people have been doing that for what? 30 - 40 years?
Vinyl does tend to slow down or speed up ever so slightly if the vinyl is slightly bent or warped. this is not unusual and when a dj hears it go out of sync he will give it a slight nudge to bring it back in.

In abelton i have fair few tunes from vinyl that require a lot of warp markers where as ones from beatport etc tend to only need one or two at the most.
Well for the wav´s I have no idea then why it still happens, but it seems as when you import the mp3 files the first time they play fine, then when you close your set and reopen it, Live often redecodes some samples at new, even when they don´t have been deleted in the meantime from the cache. It was then when the problem occured for the first time for me.

For my new years eve set I´ve had some chance, before going to the gig I saved the set as self contained under a new name, with a new cache destination and everything was fine. Then the day after I tried to render my recorded set and all the mp3´s where at new redecoded out of sync and it was quite impossible to fix all the clips in arrangement by moving the markers off sync to have them playing fine. So please try to reopen a set with the new files a few times to see if they are still ok.
As it seems that we have 3 threads now discussing the same bug it would be better if we all discuss to the one Ralf is jumped in shortly?

It´s easier to focus all the input for them then.

Have read that other thread. A lot of people mentioning quicktime. I dont have this. so if i install quicktime do i have to do anything with it or just have it as my default mp3 player??

I thought abelton decodes the mp3 files?? Not sure i fully understand but basically at the moment i have realplayer. Would it be worth me getting quicktime, and setting that as my default player or do i need to do more than that??

Just install and Live uses it as default then!
Let us know if the problems persist.
