maybe you know that the resonator plug of live can be a real good vocoder.
unfortunately it doesnt axept midi input so that you can shift the resonator tune up and down with your midi-keyboard-keys.
but theres a little workaround (not only for resonator - for any imaginable
plugin) and it goes like this:
lets say i want to vocode an looping audio clip.
i have this clip in an audio track. the outout is routed to a midi
track, where the resonator is. in this midi track are several midi clips that advise the resonator to change the tune according to the pressed keyboard key. (each clip with different resonator tune setting is assigned to a differend key...)
now the plugin:
to use the resonator in a midi track i use a reaktor ensamble.
the ensamble is the easiest ensamble possible.
it just takes the incoming audio and sends it out again without processing it at all.
it is just used to pretend that there is a midi device, so that the resonator is recepting audio in a midi track.
the desired vsti plugin should do the same.
it should be a vsti plug for midi tracks that routs the incoming audio
to any following vst plug which effects it.
this way you can trigger clips in that midi track which advises the following plugin to do wicked things with the audio.
did you get me?
who will write this plugin?
should be done in a minute,if you know how to do so...
doesnt need any grafix.
call it "the path of live" if you want or any other wicked name
