probably this has been done before but here is my two cents:
on a send track insert a simple delay plugin and set it up like this:
- switch on the link button
- sync the delaytime to 16
- feedback: 0%
- dry/wet: 100%
now make the sendtrack feedback into itself (e.g. on track a, open up send a to max).
now you can feed the sendtrack with anything you like it will loop it.
in my cheapo looper station ive set four of these send tracks up and four dedicated tracks for launching stuff into it. very nice on external input (scratching, beatboxing) as they will looped on sync with the clips in live...
offcourse there is some drifting in the sounds, especially volume of the loop needs to be carefully watched....
