External harddrive probs- "sintax error"

Post by Nikolas » Tue Jan 31, 2006 7:33 am

Hows it going? I recently purchased an external harddrive, transsferred a plethora of live files to it, deleted what was on my original harddrive.....and now whenever I attempt to load one of these transferred live files, I get a PLETHORA of excuses of why it wont load! One is "Syntax error; expected a class id, instead got "sen" whatever that means. Sometimes I'll get error messages claiming the version Im using isnt compatible with my old version, however, Im still using the LIVE delta version Ive always been! I did, at one point, also install live lite 4, but it wasnt as good as delta, so I deleted it. I havent had any upgrades either. Im really scared. Please tell me these files are not forever corrupted.

Maybe you checked this already, but try to see if there's no invalid sign (such as accented letters or ">") in your folders' names or in your HD's name.
Good luck!
