L5 is working aiight on my desktop, but is sucks on my new lappy (2.0 mhz, 1gb ram, windows xp home) - i cannot open any of my live sets and when I try, windows tells me "a serious problem has occurred..." So, I've tried the usual solutions (e.g., prefs, pray, reload, throw lappy across room) and nothing works. L5 also crashes suddenly w/o warning (this happened to my a jam and everyone looked at me as I stood there like an a-hole).
So, how can I get the prefs to delete forever (I'm hoping that's the problem here). Other than that, I have no fricken clue why my live works decent on my desktop and shitty on my laptop. All ideas are welcomed boys and girls...

reinstall windows from scratch
microsoft recommends a complete reinstall of windows every 4-6 months.
seriously. what kind of os needs that!
get your self some imaging software like Ghost or Trueimage
set your machine up with a fresh new install of everything
and then take an image of it in it's pristine working condition.
then when windows inevitabley fails (blame the whole registery system)
you just have to reimage it from that image you took of the working
system and bling blang blong everything will be fine..
make sure you keep all your data on a seperate drive though
