I'm using Logic pro 7 and reason 3 to make my music. I installed Ableton live on my mac so that I could have a go at mixing my tunes with that. I get that up and running and it's fine. But this is the problem. I noticed that I wanted to tweak a certain element in my ether remix, so I open up both logic and reason. Reason says that it's rewired, but when I hit play, I don't hear any of my sounds out of the instruments in reason (triggered by the midi data in logic).
I look at my channel settings, and it says that Ableton is now set to rewire mode instead of reason (and i don't even have ableton activated when i do this). When I switch everything back to reason, I still don't hear any sounds. The only time when things are back to normal, is when I uninstall ableton live.
any suggestions on how i can take care of this problem? I want to have both programs (reason and ableton) on my machine and just use ableton to mix.
thanks
logic+ reason is f*cked when I install ableton on my mac

This is an old bug in Logic, or if it's Ableton - I don't know. It's easy to fix, you don't have to deinstall Live. Simply select the audio object in Logic that hosts ReWire channel and change it from a "Live ReWire object" back to a "Reason ReWire object".
Somehow Live "hi-jacks" the ReWire audio objects in Logic.
