Live set help

Might sound stupid but here goes. Im new to recording on live and I am having trouble switching my Live set recording to a regular loop on the main screen. I went through the tut's and it's not in there... I am using this as a song writing tool any help is appreciated.

If your new to Live you're probably refering to the Arrangement screen.

Elaborate on what you're trying to accomplish...

Are you trying to record yourself into Live with a microphone and make a loop of that?

Ok I have a Tone port UX2 from Line 6 and I am trying to lay down some guitar parts and build on them. Section by section. I am trying to go from the live set recording which i have cut down and looped to what I want. To the vertical session view selector clip device drop area. If that makes sense...

if you just want to move your clips to the session view, you can either

- drag them to the session icon in the upper right corner, wait til the view switches, then drop them wherever...

or

- start dragging in arrangement view, keeping mouse button down. hit tab. drop in session view
