Blue Screen crash with Live and Novation Remote 25.

Hello,

I was researching Live 2.1.2 for a problem I had with the Live beta and came across this "blue screen of death" crash.

1. Switched Live into MIDI map mode.
2. Began assigning keys.
3. Switched Remote25 into edit mode to assign a knob to CC.
After a minute or so the following occured:
Blue Screen of Death and hex dump.

I know Novation screwed up with not including an Ableton template on the controller itself or the cd-rom. But I figured I could make my own template. Guess not. I will be contacting Novation about this.

I am contemplating buying the remote 25, are you saying that its not worth it for use with live?

Been using a remote 25 with live for 100s of hours with no problems. Try removing the remote driver, and reinstalling according to the instructions on the sheet in the box, not the instructions in the manual, which are wrong. Only problem i had was when i installed the driver incorrectly.

Maybe the driver of your midi interface or Novation stuff is not right ?

I don't think Ableton Live can create blue screen, this is usually IRQ_NOTLESS_OR_EQUAL or another message from a driver like problem in xxxxx.vxd etc.... a low level problem.
