Rename track /clip freeze?

Hello....

Bizarre situation - have been using Live for spell now without problems
on G4 tower + G4 Titanium Powerbook.

At some point - something changed ?
Live 2.03 + 2.1 - no longer allows to rename tracks/send fx/etc in arranger or session views.

When highlight 'Track 1' for instance - I am unable to change text.
Under keyboard shortcut -believe "command+E" ?
I was able to rename text though as soon as I moved to different track - new name would revert
to 'Track 1' again.

Able to work though quite perplexed.
Perhaps upgrade to 2.12 or anxious wait for 3.0 though
any ideas now is appreciated.

Hi scarixix,

at first since Live 2 you need the shortcut to rename a track or scene. This is
because a lot of people doubleclick by mistake on the track/scene.

But the shortcut "Comand + E" (Mac) or "Ctrl + E" (Win) should work. Be sure that you press <enter/return> after you typed in the name you want.

actually discovered hitting 'return/enter' trick on
track rename yesterday evening
knew in my heart of hearts that must be something
incredibly basic that overlooking

* of course sleep deprivation plus physical/mental stress plus etc
can make
troubleshooting bit more of challenge
