certain vst's i use work perfectly with my edirol midi controller, whilst others have parameters somehow assigned to the piano keys on my midi controller. thus making me have to "scratch my ass with my elbow" to use those vst's.
any ideas as to how to get all my vst's assigned to the right keys on my midi controller?

well, when i load up certain vst's they correspond correctly to my midi controller (the controllers keys play notes on the piano roll, knobs are assignable, etc) but using that same midi controller when i load other vst's like "subduer" for example. the midi controller's key's when stroked change the preset patch or some other function or parameter on the vst, instead of playing the notes like it should be.
is it a bad vst? improper setting in my audio preferences?
