Clock disappears !

Hi,

The 'Time remaining' clock at the bottom of the session view track seems to stop functioning and turns to a solid bar displaying '0' minutes and '0' seconds.

It seems to do this if I open up wave files/slots in other tracks, but I'm not sure if this is only when it happens.

This is very annoying especially when DJ'ing as I have to keep opening the wave view to see how long is left on the track.

Anyone else had this problem ??

Okay,

I've tried to reproduce this and it seems somewhat random.

I've noticed that if I have the file / track playing in sesion view and I click within the scrub area at the bottom half of the wave display sometimes the clock /time bar will stick at 0.0 mins. This seems random. sometimes if I click later in the track or sometimes earlier.

I also happens when scrubbing browsing through other clips on other tracks.

This may only happen with long files (these are songs for my DJ set).

I would appreciate it if someone could test this for me.

Most songs are over 5 mins long.

Bump on this one.

I can now reproduce this fairly regularly (but not always !!!)

If I have say three songs playing on Tracks 1, 2 and 3 of the session view.

Pressing the arrow on the clip to start set the clock running no problem.

however - whenever I click somewhere in the 'scrub' area at the bottom of the waveform the clock locks on 0.0

If i do the same on the other tracks the same thing (mostly) happens.

The 0.0 stays until the track reaches the loop point and then the normal circle showing the loop position kicks in.

Could anyone using Live for DJ'ing please try and reproduce this before I contact Ableton.

If someone can tell me how to post an image, I will show you a screen shot.

The only thing in common on the song files are that they are over 5 mins long and all have loops set (normally towards the end of the song).

I have the same problem like you.Have no idea why it happens.

Hi,

I've just received a response from the Ableton support team, who have confirmed this is an issue (bug?)

It has been passed forward to the Technicians to fix.

I have to say that although I have had issues with Bugs/problems in Live 5, it is this kind of immediate and direct response that in my opinion makes the Abes stand out from the rest

Now, if I could get this direct action from Steinberg I'd be a very happy man indeed.
