sorry to ask but - where do i put the skins? [osx]

also - is it difficult to develop your own skins and colour schemes? How is it done.

also - any screenshots??

I like Lives interface but would love more choice of skins.

Thanks

I respectfully ask that you read this thread from the beginning. All of your questions have been answered at least once. If you are still having trouble, try doing a forum search. Several threads have gone into much more detail about this subject.

I am not the only person to have edited custom skins for Live. Again, a forum search will turn up more results.

Take care,
James

Those are nice man, a bit too bright for my tastes personally, but the white 'crosshair' for the current clip is excellent. Very easy to see what clip is currently selected.

BTW, I like your art too, sort of reminds me of some of my stuff:

Thanks.

In painting, as I'm sure you're aware, white is traditionally reserved for highlights. That's the primary reasoning behind making it the choice for the crosshair selection. The actual selected clip color stays in the light steel blue range.

Of course, everyone is going to have different opinions on color selection. Some of them are too bright for working at night in dim light. I made a selection of low contrast skins for this. Try slate, zissou, modern, contour and neutral.

I tend to do just as much work during the day so bright is a good option for me. I also find it to be like light therapy, good color is cheerful and keeps me up. Mid morning and early afternoon are good times to try the warm colors.

I hear photoshop is a good place to start. It's a doctored picture.
Or are you talking about the colour scheme below it?
