Cant load Ableton

i cannot load ableton, when loading it gets to the part 'scanning vst' i get an error noise and then fails to load

i tried removing vsts to the trash and reloading, still doesnt work

HELP!!

did you delete all vst's?

you can at least commiserate with funkeprez, although i'm sure that's little consolation

yep i removed all plugins still not work

i have unistalled live5 and reinstalled, still not work

it scans vsts then crashes, its scanning vsts that do not exist now

is there away of getting it to load without loding vsts/user preferences?

people sometimes mention deleting the preferences file. beyond that, there's little i can say. good luck

yeah sorted it late last night, cheers

found the preferences file doing a search and deleted and all works fine now!!
