z3ta and midi files

hey guys,

Every time I stop and start a song from the beginning the preset on z3ta changes.

I have to change the preset back to what I want, but when I stop the song and start playing it again from the beginning.... the preset changes!

Anyone familiar with this?

double click the midi clip, and in the bottom of the screen make sure it is not changing banks / presets.

thx for the response.

I'm changing the bank/preset manually directly in z3ta, not in the midi clip, but I noticed that the preset is being changed automatically to 'none'.

Any thoughts?

armin, we know the z3Ta sounds about as good as the real thing but if you cant come up with an answer for this you can always use the virus sitting there in your studio

bug or non-bug... That's the question.

it might be the midi file though. because it happens sometimes with reaktor too, but it's less often then in z3ta (it happens always with z3ta).

Someone told me to

i've had this problem with midi, and just about any vst.

what it is, is that somewhere in the midi file is a continous controller message that is triggering a program change in the vst. erase any non-note data and you should be fine, or just weed through the CC info, and get rid of the message that triggers the program/bank change.

And with me it's happening with z3ta and reaktor.

have anyone seen anyhting similar to this? any more suggestions?

Found out what the problem was .

I made copies of the midi clips but I kept changing the banks thinking that the copies of the clips would change automaticaly to whatever I changed.

everything works like a charm.
