If I load up an audio file, and play it, a vertical line moves along the audio file and shows where abouts in the file it is.
However, as soon as I start to adjust loop set points, and turn looping on and off etc, the position of the vertical line in the sound file becomes confused, and does not correspond to the actual part of the sound which is being played.
Can this be easily fixed?

There's nothing to fix...this is the correct behavior.

I don't think this is the case, as I believe this problem doesn't always occur.
For example, most of the time this occurs.
The audio file I am playing has got to the beginning of its 25th bar and I set the loop start point there. I know this because this is where the moving vertical line marker has reached
When the audio file gets to the end of its 32nd, I set the loop end point there.
An 8 bar loop has now been created, and the track starts to play from its 25th bar again instead of continuing to play its 33rd bar.
However, instead of the vertical line moving back to the 25th bar of the audio file it continues to the 33rd bar.
Therefore the more I allow that part of the audio file to loop, the further away the vertical marker gets from where it should be, making it redundent to see where abouts in the track I am.
When I finally turn the looping function off, the marker might show I am at the audio files 65th bar even though I am actually at is 33rd.
Surely this isn't correct.
