Well, I went to see Cuong Vu last night and it was awesome. His trio is amazing, I was astounded that so many lines were played be 3 players. Cuong's writing ranges from patently beautiful to hard angular, chromatic melodies. Afterward, I was invited to go out to drinks with the trio, and I must say for three guys who are incredibly talanted, they are humble, down to earth guys. They're very easy to converse with and they truly appreciate thier fans. I highly reccomend see them if your within driving distance of this tour. http://www.cuongvu.com/events.aspx

And having played trumpet for 30+ years, I keep wanting to tell him to blow it properly!
