Smart freeze

When freezing a track why does it render each clip on a separate file also when multiple clips refer to the same audio file?

It could go faster if only the source audio was freezed and the clips created again. I know this is needed in order to freeze the automation but this could apply only when there is no automation neither in the arrangement nor in any of the clips of the same audio source.

this might fit into "feature request" better
