UC 33 and Live /////

Dear All

I have a question that might seem stupid regarding the use of live with the uc 33 controller. I configured ableton for the uc 33 to be recognized as my midi controller. Then I followed the recommendations to assign physical controllers to parameters in ableton.
Here is what I did :
- control select on the uc 33
- move the selected fader on the uc 33
- call the midi map switch on ableton
- select the desired parameter to be controlled
- press control assign on the uc 33
- leave the midi map switch
...
but ableton did not respond to the uc 33 midi messages. Moreover, there is no fader move on the uc 33 (which is well recognized by ableton on the midi preferences) that is shown by the glittering midi button (maybe that's normal, since no assignment is made yet, but I wanted to mention it).
Did i make smt wrong ?
Any help would be so great, thank u for reading this message, and... telling the right procedure (?).

the pb is now solved... I stupidly forgot to launch oms, since I am used with sequencers doing that kind of stuff for me... / sorry for the previous mail ///
and I am so pleased with what I can do, and really impatient to play live with the uc ///

OMS sees the UC-33

Live sees the UC-33 in its midi set up


press the midi learn button, move slider...nothing! not a bleeding thing.


HOW DO YOU SET THIS THING UP ! ! !
