Live 4/Microkontrol Help

I'm having problems with getting this set up.

I've read instructions given by my Ableton Live 4 Power book, the manual, the MicroKontrol manual and the notes that come on the CD-Rom relating to the MicroKontrol.

I am still unable to get this set up with live correctly. Furthermore, on the odd occassion I have been able to, I have only been able to generate sounds from Battery 2 via the MicroKontrol when I have opened up the live_Korg.als file that was on ther CD-Rom for this controller.

Is this file like a template for me to use within Live ? Is this what I need to open everytime I decide to work with Live and the controller ? This file opens up with a number of tracks, which i am supposedly able to control volume and panning on, but only the pan pots work.

I'd appreciate any help on this, as I'm thoroughly frustrated. Even better if anyone might be London-based ? I will pay !
