Hey.
According to the site:
As a registered owner of a Live Lite version that came bundled with your hardware product, you are now eligible to purchase a full version of Live 5 for EUR/USD 199, compared to EUR/USD 499 (MSRP).
So if I dont get the cash together by March 6, will it really cost me 300 euro more to upgrade????
I only heard about the offer like 2 days ago.
I wish Ableton would extend this offer a couple of weeks.

I first got into Live from one of those "lite" versions too. I think it was 2.0... came bundled with my X-session. My advice is... just do it! You won't regret it and it's a steal at that price.

To be honest i'm a bit upset that i bought version 4 a matter of months ago but there isn't an offer like this for me...i think being able to buy version 5 for say £75 would be a reasonable thing to do.

I only just realised I have TWO copies of live lite that came with my XSessions controllers...
but I never used them cause they are pc versions and I have a mac....
does anyone know are the serial numbers cross compatible?
eg can I use my live xsession pc serial to upgrade to live 5 mac version for 200 euros?
if so then I am buying it immediately...

Yeah, the extension of this offer would be very nice as I also knew about it a few days ago.

How much is the upgrade from 4 - 5? D'you think the upgrade price will remain the same for upgrading from 5 - 6?
Live 6 - already round the corner... My how time flies...

It should be, as the program disks are dual platform, its just a matter of licencing, all they will give you is your very own serial.

thats because it's a temp offer. The lite-version you have, probably got packaged before they decided to give this offer.
It's the first thing you'll notice on

Reading the link. It says that the offer to get live for usd200 expires march 6, but what after that? Will it return to the old upgrade price (usd250)? Will the live lite copy upgrade path no longer available?
Turn up the radio. Turn up the tape machine. Look into the sunset up ahead. Roll the windows down for a better taste of the cool desert wind. Ah yes. This is what it's all about. Total control now.
