dorpouts and problems during render... it was working 4.04

Post by macdeath » Wed Mar 01, 2006 7:34 pm

i have created a session with 24 chanells Rewire, 1 minimoog, 1 pro53, 1 ab synth and 5 audio tracks

the session had dropouts also at live 4.2 but the playback never stopped...

i cant play the half of the session and the weirdest of all is that i cant render it!!!

what shall i do?

P4 2.8GHZ
1G DDR RAM
WD 120G 7200RPM

the pc has been fromated before a week and is optimised for audio...

 WHAT SHALL I DO??????????????????

i also realised that the delay compensation process gets a lot of cpu resources...
but without auto delay compensation i have a lot of out of sync sources, most of them are Rewire (reason)...
my disk overload indicator is getting red when Live passes over from the crash state...
????????????????????????????????????

Hi macdeath,

do you refer to 'Render To Disk' or to the "normal" playback?
Have you tried to freeze some track to reduce the CPU usage?

regards,
/Alex

hi Alex

i have freezed all vst instruments but no luck...
i think that something is wrong either with my system (wich as i wrote above, has been recently formated and optimised for audio) or with a plug-in

but its really weird not to playback at least 10 audio tracks without any dropout...

all the sessions that have this problem are LIve 4.04 sets...?
