Since every audio interface I know of uses firewire, how do you connect those to the new mac mini? Are the usb2 to firewire adaptors? Do they work?

don't many macs have surprisingly good audio quality? Anyone experimented with the built-in audio on these mac minis?

i doubt it, their not shipping yet.... they were only announced 24 hours ago
but the new mac minis have built in 5.1 sound through spdif outputs
so you might not even NEED a box if you only want 2 outputs + 2 monitoring
