faster browsing through vst presets

Post by mapepe » Thu Mar 02, 2006 9:23 am

something i really miss would be a forward, backward button to browse through plug in presets. the pull down menue is a bit cumbersome when you want to listen fast through the presets of a vst.
nothing fancy i know

I'd like to browse the VST parameters like in the inbuilt effects presets browser

Click twice on the preset box so that the menu disappears, now you can browse your presets with the up/down buttons.

I personnally don´t like that the browser pops up for changing presets, I would like a combination of both systems.
Anyway if it would at least directly load the choosen preset when browsing with up/down instead that I always need to push enter for selecting, that would be nicer.

And while we are at it, make the dropdowns work like all other OS dropdowns, pressing first character of names in the list will jump directly to the first entry beginning with that character, pressing the character again jumps to next until you reach the last entry starting with that character, then it jumps back to the first, so when I know I want to use "bass" #3 I can just hit 'B' 3 times.

Auto complete in listboxes would also rock.
