problem is....there's nowhere to actually hear them where i live...anyone know of anywhere in the north west of england where you could pop along as have a butchers? would like to at least run my ears past them before i purchase them like
Dolphinmusic (which isnt a shop, more a wharehouse, but the guys there are cool enough to let you try stuff) in liverpool.(off speke boulevard)

Can you go down to Dolphin to try stuff out?
I thought it was just mail order.

They might do if they have what you want in bstock, they were suppost to be seting up a demo workshop, the guys are quite cool about returns, tryouts etc etc, give them a ring and ask.

if they have any b stock of what you want (which is most things because of their turn around) they may let you. call them first and ask.

unfortunately that "bad boy price" is per SINGLE monitor speaker, bum. I'd still go for the Alesis

I just got some Event PS-5 which had been lounging around in a shop in Norwich for a few years. These came before the TR5, but are supposed to be similar. Nice sound.

TR5s are getting hard to get in the UK. A lot of places seem to have discontinued them.

well, not so bad boy then! why the hell do that? i mean who buys ONE speaker anyhoo?

well still a decent enough price and withinmy budget for two i suppose.

i know the guys at dolphin music very well indeed and have been buying gear off them for a while. i havent been to their new warehouse yet as they've recently moved but i dont think you can just drop by (i mean its pretty out of the way to be honest, you cant just walk over its by the airport like!) but yes i did hear they were doing a shop but i'm not sure how long its going to be before its open. i'll have a word with them tho, great company!

you need to drive there, its a huge new building on venture point west.
I havnt just dropped buy, ive spoken to them first - like i said if they have opened B stock they will let you demo it. if not, the returns is pretty good, if you return like new.
