Echo Indigo IO

Hi

I have been through a lot of the previous posts about the Indigo and have found some useful info but just have a couple fo questions

I really want to be able to monitor my tracks before I bring them into the mix, I have tried to set this up but obviously have had no luck - Going through the previous posts it seems that this is a function of the DJ version and not the IO

Is there anyway I can get around this and use my card for this function? Do I need the ASIO4all drivers that I keep hearing about?

Hi-

There is no workaround that I am aware of for the Indigo io to pre-monitor tracks. The DJ version will.

ASIO4ALL will only solve latency problems not the soundcard output issues. Indigo io will not read ASIO4ALL as it is bound to its own driver.

The Indigo IO DOES work with Asio4all

I have not tried it for joining devices though.

I would search the forum for that?

If I can get ahold of my buddy with regards to monitoring the audio...I think we did it as I also have the Echo Indigo in my laptop and ASIO4All. I have a voice msg off to him so if I get the response I am hoping for I'll post it in here.

Yeah, in asio4all you can link both of your soundcards, so that you could use your laptop for monitoring and your indigo for output.

But my buddy didn't get into the details on how we got around to setting it up. Currently I am *not* running configured like this (and neither is he and he has same card). If he gets to fiddling with it he'll post about it. I think what we did was route from the track(s) to another track that we were monitoring things on with headphones.

Hay I use this sound card live. I split my output into two mono tracks one to the moniter and one to the mains. Most clubs have mono systems anyway. On your ins and outs in LIVE send your headphone mix to cue/out 1 and your main mix to Master out 2. It works great, try it.
