i think you should write to support@ableton and add detailed information about your system and stuff. just to post a general error message won't help.

best,

This error message occures when an unexpected error happened or in other words: We did a programming error. In this state its not clear if the software will still work properly until you restart it. Useful for us are all the circumstances when this error message occures: Which action were you doing? With what data? Can you reproduce it? How? What is your system setup? And so on... Please inform us about these errors. Otherwise we will not get the software bug free.

Regards, Bernd.

serious program error when recording

Post by JoeyJoe » Mon May 20, 2002 3:17 am

I get this message when I try to set my file path for recorded audio in the preferences section :

"A serious program error has occured. You should try to save your work under a new name using the Save As command from the File menu and restart the application."

I can't record any audio into Live . I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet. Should this work ? Any ideas? I've get a 400 mHz Pentium II with an MAudio 2496 PCI card 128 megs of Ram Windows 98.
