Track Fader Inoperable During Cue?

Post by mylkoa » Wed Mar 01, 2006 9:11 pm

Hi,

When I set a track to cue, the volume fader for the
track doesn't work. I can hear the clip I'm previewing,
and I can adjust the volume of the headphones, but
I want to be able to adjust the clip's volume
I'm cueing in reference to the mix (what the audience
is hearing coming from the main outs).

This is important because when I decide to activate
(aka unmute) the track I'm cueing, it needs to be
leveled properly in relation to the rest of the mix.

I have searched the archives but I haven't found
any reference to this sort of problem. Keywords:
volume and cue

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

I also have this problem. I can monitor any changes to volume using the eq settings etc. (ie if I use a band pass on eq 4 and sweep it until the sound cuts out, this is 'monitored' when in cue mode).

The general volume levels aren't and the visual level meter does not move either.

I dont know if this is normal for Live or not - can someone confirm ?
