Sound Card!

Wondered if someone could help me. I have just bought Live 5 this week so am fairly new to using it. My main objective for now is to use it to create DJ mixes with it just to get me started. I am trying to configure my sound card to enable me to cue up tracks just like a mixer.
however i have a feeling that My Creative labs soundblaster Live card is not up to the mark. Could some-one confirm this for me??
If this is the case then obviously i will have to purchase a new sound card. Could some-one recomend one that is not to expensive, but will do the program justice!!

I thinking the soundblasters only have stereo out? if this is correct you are not in position to make using of the cue monitor because you need a interface with another stereo output. There is method to do it on one stereo output but this is not good because it meanings you have the sound the people hear in the club as mono so not good.

For best performance, I would stay away from USB audio devices (your CPU takes a hit processing audio streams).

There are carbus interfaces that use onboard DSP to process audio streams - taking the load off your CPU. If you can live without inputs, check out the Indigo DJ (which has two stereo outputs instead of the one stereo in and one stereo out on the Indigo i/o). Having two stereo outputs allows you to use one to preview sounds while your main mix is playing out on the other. This card has excellent sound quality and performance.

If you need more extensive in/out, check out the EMU cardbus system.
