BFD crashes on Quad

Just cannot get BFD to be stable - totally confused about plugin types, wrapping, core audio or not.

What version of this plugin does Live prefer on a Mac - VST, VST-wrapped AU, AU?

Anyone having this nightmare? Anyone stable with a similar setup???

PS. i've re-installed my entire system, updating all of OSX. I've downloaded the BFD 1.5.039 update. I've created an "Aggregate MIDI device" for my Firebox.

Any help please!
