live MIDI problem

First post here, so a big hullo.

Strange one this.... Im using BFD drums in ableton, and when monitoring, its all fine, sounds good, responsive keys, no distortion/glitching. However, when i go to record, its all over the place, and doesnt sound like how it was monitored, almost as if ableton is trying to add some kind of "swing" to my drums?

Ive had a go in traktion, and i get no problem there? it all records fine. I really want to use ableton, its such a natural and easy program to use.

Any pointers?

have you tried turning off the quantize function?
