Any chance of 32bit float??? Believe me that would be more of an issue than midi (for most I am pressuming)

Just found out there's no 32 bit float support. How odd. I'd agree with Patrickl, this is a big issue.

hmmm,
i may be old fashioned and i love 12bit sound, but besides that: could Gonzo or Patrickl explain me in which situations they hear a difference between 24 bit float and 32 bit ?

just curious,

It's not so much about hearing the difference, than it is to be able to seemlessly integrate into existing 32bit projects. It's a must have, IMO.

you mean the problem is that you cannot import / export soudfiles, right ? it is a file type problem ??? if so, could you please tell me which application is creating / reading 32bit projects and we will see if we find a way to deal with it. ( since e.g. protools still asks for 16 or 24 bit at thre beginning of a new session and you have no chance to change it afterwards i allways thought live is a big step ahead, but... )

Try Nuendo 32 bit float files. I haven't been able to read them; I think Live was complaining that they are corrupted. These were 44.1 files btw. I would assume you would have the same problem with 32bit files created in Cubase.
