Chilled PolyTrax

Post by polyslax » Sat Mar 04, 2006 6:32 pm

Well, we've finally gone beyond the 'music thread' to a nice new spacious home. Yay! So, here are a few recent tracks. I suck with genres, so I'll just say these have kind of a down tempo, chilled vibe. All are 128 bit mp3. Everything done in Live 5.

Would be great if you could have a listen and let me know what you think. Cheers!

hey

im liking quadruped and morphologist sounds very nice. just one question, do you use an old mixing board or something? im hearing occasional clicks in each track...not necessarily a bad thing, but i guess gives it character.

where in canada are you from?

Cool, you had me worried there for a sec, as far as I know I'm not getting clicks.

Thanks for checking out my tracks and leaving a comment, it's always nice to get some feedback when you work solo!

I'm in the Ottawa area, btw.

C'mon dawg - you never know

You could be sitting on a gold mine of beats

Throw 'em out there, get some feedback!!!

What's the worst that could happen - someone hates on your music, so what...real critisism can only help not hurt

good luck

New track added today. Very abstract ambient soundscapey stuff, i.e. you won't be dancing, you won't even be bobbing your head.

Check it out if you have 14 minutes to spare. Comments welcome.

New track added today:

Catatonica

128 bit .mp3
11.5 mb

Definitely super chill, sort of melodic ambient, almost without percussion.

Comments welcome.

Cheers!

Another fairly soundscapey outing for me, although, I will warn the ambient purists that there is percussion in this track.

Please have a listen if you get a chance. Comments always welcome.

Had some complaints about spikes in the 13khz area. Track now remixed, shorter, and with eq and level changes.

THis one is my fave. Like a mix of Eno, Bill Nelson, Push Button Objects and Aphex's 2nd ambient cd's. I like the kind of muffly sound to it. Is that purposeful? It sounds good so don't change it! I really dig it. The song itself needs some development. IT does the same thing for a bit ong for my ears. It could be just that I am an American. We have ridiculously short attention sp - ooooh! a shiny bright object!!! Ahem, as you can see. Seriously, it needs some kind of development in there. I don't know what. That's your department.
Liked this one alot too. Good use of the old ER-1. I gotta get mine out of storage.

The others didn't particularly send me. Could be a tatse thing. Dunno.
