Monitor the spdif on M-Audio Solo

Post by Toothy » Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:16 am

Hello,

On a restricted budget I needed a sound card with two requirements: guitar jack on the front and the ability to monitor a seperate output to the master out. Following a discussion with M-Audio, I went for the Firewire Solo.

I am assured by M-Audio that you can monitor the S/PDIF whilst using the analogue out as master, but I can't work out how. Before calling M-Audio for more info I wondered if anyone here had solved a similar problem?

Thanks for the reply dude.

The most annoying thing was that I quized M-Audio on this before buying and they assured me it would work. To their credit though, they have accepted the fault and are changing the sound card for me.

I think you can ... You use "sends" from different tracks to a "return track" and then route that to the S/PDIF. That what I do...
