since we're on the subject of location, i was wondering if anyone in the tri-state area has heard of or been to any laptop battles around here. seems like a cool idea. so maybe i'll start a thread and see if anyone is down. what about you guys?

All the laptop battles I heard about were in Seattle and San Francisco, It would be interesting having one here in the Tri-state area.

there was a laptop battle in philly a while back...i think they were planning on having one up here at some point.

i dont know how i reallly feel about them...i like any venue for live electronica and laptop musicians but does it set us up for being the inline skaters for turntables skateboarding?

plus you cant use controllerss

the no controllers thing seems dumb. so if i get this thing going i think we'll make up some new rules first. we'll be democratic about it, so i'm sure we'll come up with something everyone can agree to.
