wow can't believe i'm the first to post this one.

i primarily produce electrohouse although have started composing for tv/film so that covers all styles.

I see so many DJs starting to get on the 'Live bandwagon' now its great to see it. Believe people, believe.

alright, who else is around? where's Pelman?

Hey guys.. I have know about Live for 2 years, but have not taken Live seriously... But lately I have successfully used Live to replace my 1200 and CDJ to an extent. I use Live mainly for DJ'ing. Don't take me wrong.. I am a bedroom Dj, but I do have gigs sometimes... Live opens up alot of windows and answered alot of my questions that I had during the time that I dj with turntable... Now I can do much more, and my set is much more interesting to listen to...

Right now I am focusing on using strictly just the Midi keyboard and not touching the Mouse... I play Tribal House/Trance. Hiphop gotta be played on my CDJ, because I can not scratch with Live.. or at least I don't know how yet.

I am from OC.. Holla if you are from OC.. .. Chitt.. I work in Irvine Yo....
Ishimaru.. hit me up meng...

hailing from Weho, near the corner of Hollywood and Fairfax. just moved here from wisconsin. I DJ w/ live, mostly prog/breaks/trance/psy, but have recently been trying to incorporate some upper temp hip-hop and rock into my sets.

i use a novation remote as my mixer, assigning knobs and faders etc. i've just started to produce tracks via LogicPro, but have been having trouble getting down a flow or system of using them both at the same time.

LBC inna hizzauz

I use Live on a 15" tibook for everything (DAW, beats, etc)

the latest thing is letting modular synth patches (literally - with cables) do their thing and then chopping it up to loop later (well sometimes loop - my last sequence was nearly 30 minutes).

we should all get together and take over a night at DataAge in Chinatown!

hey los angeles live users!

i'm in the process of securing a weekly spot at a downtown venue.
i should have it up and running in may,
i plan to perform, with live as my centerpiece
as well as feature local artists,
but importantly, have a LIVE night so all of us could gather, share ideas
and music....maybe once a month...who knows.

just planting the seed...i'll make sure to update you all soon

cool...

thanks cache. i'll let you know how things unfold as i get closer to setting things up...any ideas how it should be run?

i'm thinking, depending how many people are interested, we can have slot times of maybe 30 minute sets, perhaps with the screen projected, and maybe some kind of q and a before the next live set...

not too sure yet...but just throwing out ideas b/c this IS going to happen...

either way....just a way to get us in one room, share ideas
