Link Your Live-Files....

Post by hoffman2k » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:58 pm

Before anybody gets mad at me for posting this here, please understand that Ableton suggested to create this kind of thread in THIS forum section.
They suggested that after we've asked for a dedicated web-space for this....
Hell, we'll keep asking. Right guys?

But meanwhile, i would suggest to link your presets in this thread. If it bothers people, then the thread will fade away. If people like it, then it will get moved to the link your presets forum section

Here's a tip if you are looking for a way to get your stuff online.
Go to this site http://www.abletonusers.com/
It's an unofficial website, made by users who also realize that we will only get this happen if we get the ball rolling ourselves.
They have a section to upload this kind of stuff.

www.yousendit.com also works (sometimes)
But thats only a temp solution.

If you have something online, just link it in this thread.

Here a couple of MIDI effect groups for Live 5 that i would like to share: http://users.telenet.be/Vayner/Midi%20e ... groups.zip

Drop the files in this package into your Ableton Library / Presets / MIDI effect groups folder.
If you don't know where to find your Ableton Library. Then consult Live's preferences, you will find the library path in the "Misc" tab.

Enjoy the presets. And i hope to enjoy yours :D

I think this is a good idea... just want to clarify your intentions. Do you see this as a thread for presets of Live and Live's fx/instruments, or do you want to include 3rd party fx /instruments as well?

A thread for everything. Presets and Live clips made from Abletons and 3rd party instruments/effects.

If it catches on, then we would probably get a forum section for this (finally!)

Hey cool idea, its about time!

Here is a little Live Set with some House style Impulse kits enclosed -

Hoose

Hopefully they'll come out allright and the kits have been 'self contained' in the set.

:-( Unfortunately I'm still on Live 4, but sounded good on my demo copy of Live 5 at work :-)

Hi mike, what version of Live 4 are you using? i think I need to update. I'm on 4.1.4, or are you using Live 5 too? mmmh, this is when you realise its time to upgrade...

I don't know. I guess normal kits can be done in Live 4. But you'll need Live 5 to use any effect group.
There's no harm in upgrading

AHH I see you did it H2K

I dont have anything to contribute yet, but I'll bump the thread to keep it visible!

Incidentally I think the forum section should be "Link your Live Files" so it can be ALS files or ALC or even ALP files

just thought I'd add that pedantic detail
