Hi
Does anybody know when Ableton is going to release the final 5.2 version (not a beta)?
Thanks

Looks pretty cool. Won't be better than Live 5, but it's nice to see them try :)

Sure, but Acid has usually been fairly solid. I'm not sure it'll be a realtime performance app, but I do think that Sonic Foundry has innovated in many ways: automation curves, looping, MOUSE SCROLLING/ZOOMING to name a few...

From what I can see, if AP6 truly delivers a rock solid and stable app with all the new added features as advertised, then it'll definitely be up to speed (if not exceed) many of the other audio/Midi sequencers out there.
Having said that, I'll reserve my final judgment till I actually get my anxiously waiting, impatient swhheaty hands on it!!! :P

I've been an Acid Pro user since the beginning and with what AP6 brings to the table, I think my ultimate DAW search may come to an end. Then again Live 6 might just prove me wrong. Only time will tell...

Well, given that neither Live 5.2 nor Acid 6 are released yet, to answer your brilliant question, no I have not tried either of them.

This is pure conjecture, but since I'm part of Cult-of-Ableton, no software can be better.

Does that mean I won't try Acid 6? Of course not. :)

a bit off topic, but i want to say that my expiriences with SF products are nothing but good. i used Acid three year ago. great tool. ugly, but great. ;)
i also use Vegas and Sound Forge every day at my work. both are solid as hell.
i was suggesting to Abletons a couple of times to "borrow" a couple of workflow tricks for Live's arrangement view. they didn't listen. quick fade in/out menu, crossfade curves, drag down clips volume, customized key shortcuts + export individual tracks, great support for every known audio/video file...
i really miss those in Live.
