Converting Stereo Samples to Mono
Anyone know of any freebie programs that would be able to easily convert a lot of stereo one shot wav samples to mono wavs?
PC or Mac?
Goldwave?
I'd use Cool Edit or Sound Forge in batch mode personally but those aren't free.

cygwin+gcc+sox on Windows
probably just gcc+sox on OSX (guesswork)
linux: sox is either already installed or on your distribution's CD
sox -c 2 stereo.wav -c 1 mono.wav avg 0.5,0.5
not freeware, open source!
