A strange problem with M-audio Firewire Audiophile

Post by mattrochebdx » Mon Mar 27, 2006 7:15 pm

Hi all,

I have bought a Live Bundle, with M-audio Firewire Audiophile. I am experiencing a problem that puzzles me a lot : when I start Live, everything's working fine, I can record audio as well as play midi files. But, after a while, I lose the audio input of the soundcard, and I hear a kind of buzz when I monitor it. It happened once while I was recording an external audio source, and the recording switched from the much appreciated  sound of my MFB 502 to this buzz....

My configuration is in my signature. I made all the tweaks available on musicxp.net. The only insight I have about this tricky problem is that my firewire port (4-pin) shares its IRQ with the graphic card (Radeon X600).

Thank you for reading me. I hope someone will be able to help me

Cheers

Matthieu
