Im in australia, and have been a vinyl dj for along time..
I have been looking at controllers for using with live in a live dj situation...
and after going to shops and seeing whats around which is like the uc33 and the behringer stuff , a person at a store showed me online the faderfox LX2 and LV2 and these appear to be pretty good, although very expensive for me, but within budget.
I am just wondering from people that do use them, how they actually work as a dj controller? like just an lV2 seems quite interesting to me....im not sure about the lX2 as generally when djing ...hitting buttons isnt going to do much for me...
at home I have a an evolution Mk 225c 25 key midi keyboard and I just midi map the rotaries to 2 eq3s one on each audio chanel that I setup in live...so i can control bass mid and high for each chanel..so six rotaries assigned there...and then another rotary to crossfader and another to ping pong delay and another to auto filter..
but this is a plastic toy that i wouldn't dare consider using In a club
and limited to those rotaries I would like to be able to assign each chanel to an auto filter and delay..and even further on from there..
But with the lV2 with its rotaries and faders...im just wondering how it really works ...? as far as a basic live setup of two chanels with eq assigned to each.. for djing and then with effects on each chanel?
Is this how it can work or would I need two lV2s......Im never going to be able to get hands on and try one and reading the manual is kinda hard to understand withought having an lX2 hooked up....
if any of you users could fill me in.. I would really appreciate it...
